Stationary CNC machining centre with gluing unit – BIMA Cx40 E
The CNC milling machine BIMA Cx40 E with an edging unit offers maximum flexibility as a radial arm machine for processing workpieces of diverse dimensions. The combination of CNC machining and edge processing in one machine also reduces production times significantly.
The large machining depth of up to 1,800 mm typical of radial arm machines allows high-quality complete processing of extremely large workpieces for individual small series or one-off production. Different edge materials can be glued to the narrow face of straight or curved workpieces. The BIMA Cx40 E combines a powerful main spindle with a feed rate of 90 m/min in the X axis and an integrated C axis with a separate edging unit. A collision control integrated as a standard feature in the IMAWOP controller prevents damage as a result of operating or programming errors. The high rigidity of the machine bed guarantees maximum precision. The gluing units are easy to clean and also feature numerous options and add-ons. Loading can be automated, for example.
Laser edging on a radial arm machine
Optionally the BIMA Cx40 E can be equipped with a 5 axis head or with laser edging technology. Laser edging features higher resistance to dirt accumulation in combination with a high-quality appearance due to zero joint edging. Another advantage: the heat-up and glue change times are eliminated with laser edging, which makes the technology a worthwhile investment.
Due to its intuitive and innovative programming interface IMAWOP 10.0 with 3D graphics facilitates the creation and control of machining programs for the BIMA Cx40. IMAWOP 10.0 is Windows 8.1 compatible and is delivered with special, individually expandable features for batch size 1 production. Data from all leading 3D CAD and PPS systems can easily be transferred to the IMAWOP 10.0, including 5 axis machining. Optional features include expanded 3D simulation and DXF import, as well as Quicktool and 3D milling with Visual Mill. The new software will be available soon.
