Windows-based IMA-control ICOS QUICK STEP - user -friendly user interface and fully automatic drilling and guideway optimisation.

The control is a high-performance, PC-based control system with integrated SPS. Operation is accomplished from a separate operator terminal via keyboard and mouse. In addition to the hardware components of the PC-system the ICOS QUICK STEP is also equipped with the newly-developed customised user interface, as well as a drilling and guideway optimisation, incl. collision control.

The industrial PC with 17'' TFT-screen offers almost unlimited memory capacity for individual panel programs.

The user interface is equipped with a simple, dialog-based panel programming and with clear tool data administration. Reporting system for operator and error messages is standard configuration, as well as data communication via fieldbus system, uninteruptable current supply (USV) and preparation for teleservice.

The drilling/guideway optimisation is a path/time optimisation of the supports and the processing units. The processing steps can be represented during programming.
